NYE 2013!!

2013 .... Whew....!

2013 has been such an eye opener and 365 days self discovery.  My journey has been Very rewarding throughout this life that I have been blessed with, but this year I was really able to acknowledge and accept some things about myself that I never thought.  I have made new friends and I have lost old  friends in flesh and in blood, I have fallen short and I have failed at some things I believed I had a grasp on.  Do I feel defeated or stressed?  Nah, because I have also recognized my growth, every goal that has been set has been reached to some extent by having faith, strength, and the courage to step out and take that chance. Knowing that I never gave up the fight and knowing what my duties are have held my down and kept me smiling.  I love a challenge and I will continue to slay.  I am grateful for the gifts that I possess and I will continue to nurture them.

My spirituality has been elevated and it has also carried me through these treacherous territories.  This year I have prayed more for others than I have myself and I hope that you all are praying for me the same. I can tell someone is because I can't do all of this on my own.  My new faith and spiritual path in Nichiren Buddhism has been quite an experience and has supported me through the tough times.  I love this practice and this way of life and it has been beneficial.  I am sure that some have judged me because they don't understand anything other than what they have have been taught and what they may see on the outside rather than trying to see through to the core.  I don't care what your faith or your religious practice as long as you pray and love and do right by others - I really do not care.  Everyday still, I am learning how to become a better woman, a better friend, sister, daughter, a better lover and an outstanding professional and I accept it with XOXO..

I have family.  A beautiful family near and far.  My nieces are healthy, intelligent, and full of cuteness. We may not see each other or talk too often but you are ALWAYS with me in heart. I come from a broken home and this year I have also come to the realization why some of my relative bonds may also be somewhat "broken", that hurts my heart.  How do I reverse this?  I don't know, but I will focus on this in 2014.  The saying goes, "Don't become so busy living, that you forget to live your life.." or something like that.  Family, to me, is life. With all of it's crazy moments and the "crazies" in the family, all of the arguments, and all of the perfect harmony, there is nothing like having family.  I have worked so hard with this music and entertainment thing and trying to stay above ground the best I can as a single independent woman/entrepreneur, I feel that at times I have put my family last.  If I have made anyone in my family feel this way, I apologize, I do love you..

January 2013, I had a goal to form IN BETWEEN and it was done immediately.  I began preparing 3rd Quarter of 2012 and we were were in February.  I took time off from my corporate travel gigs which allowed me the time to get my guys together and push forward.  Mysteriously, it has all fallen into place with what seems like a little effort and I am pleased.  It has not been easy, one, leaving the extra income to focus developing IN BETWEEN, two, it just has not been easy. LOL.  A few opportunities and a few people have been sent to me to assist with the IN BETWEEN goal and 2014 we will show you all what we have been working towards and why.  I am thankful for each person involved in this process and it makes me want to cry right now.  I cry a lot, but it's for good..  You all should come out and support crew, we go HARD and we go LIVE!  I have set up quite a few shows over 2013 that have been FREE or at minimal cost to you, before long you Will Not have this privilege.  We work hard and pretty soon we will be working hard for the pesos - this is a job.. Casting Off the Transient and Revealing the True

Casting Off the Transient and Revealing the True

The idea of “attaining Buddhahood,” a central goal of Buddhism, is well known in Eastern cultures, though often misunderstood. Few people, however, cherish the goal of becoming a “Buddha.” But Nichiren Buddhism makes clear that doing so is nothing special—that it actually means rediscovering and fully expressing one’s “true self”— the self that is rich in wisdom, courage, compassion and joy.
Buddhism calls the process of awakening this true self “casting off the transient and revealing the true,” the method by which Buddhas set aside their temporary, or transient, identities and fully reveal their true nature.

The Great Teacher T’ien-t’ai employed the term to explain the contrast between two views of Shakyamuni Buddha: That of the Buddha who attained enlightenment for the first time under the bodhi tree in India, and that of the Buddha who attained enlightenment in the extremely remote past, as revealed in “Life Span of the Thus Come One,” the 16th chapter of the Lotus Sutra.
In the 16th chapter, Shakyamuni overturns the view that he attained enlightenment for the first time in that lifetime, saying: “All believe that the present Shakyamuni Buddha, after leaving the palace of the Shakyas, seated himself in the place of enlightenment not far from the city of Gaya and there attained supreme perfect enlightenment. But good men, it has been immeasurable, boundless hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, millions of nayutas of kalpas since I in fact attained Buddhahood” ( The Lotus Sutra and Its Opening and Closing Sutras, pp. 265–66).

T’ien-t’ai defined “the transient” as the view that Shakyamuni attained enlightenment for the first time near Gaya in India, and “the true” as the view that he had actually attained enlightenment in the extremely remote past, countless kalpas ago. According to T’ien-t’ai, Shakyamuni cast off the transient and revealed the true when he disclosed the true nature of his enlightenment in this way in the “Life Span” chapter.

This disclosure has profound implications. It suggests that Buddhahood is not a state achieved at some distant time in the future through extremely prolonged effort, as had been thought. Rather, it is a real potential inherent eternally within all people. Based on this awareness, Nichiren Daishonin taught and staked his life on spreading the Law of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo at the core of the Lotus Sutra in order to help all people manifest their enlightened potential.

In the course of doing so, he faced and overcame the most extreme trial of his life, the Tatsunokuchi Persecution—his unjust arrest and near execution at Tatsunokuchi in September 1271. Through overcoming this great obstacle, he accomplished his own “casting off the transient and revealing the true.” From Sado Island, the place of his subsequent exile, he wrote: “This person Nichiren was beheaded. It is his soul that has come to this island of Sado” (“The Opening of the Eyes,” The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 269). Though he actually survived the ordeal, he nevertheless states that he was beheaded. In this way, he suggests that his “self” as it had been until then came to an end. It was his “true self” that emerged upon overcoming that great persecution. He had cast off his transient identity to reveal his true nature as a Buddha, the true Buddha of the Latter Day of the Law.

But this should not be taken to mean that Nichiren ceased at this point to be a common mortal. The Chinese character translated as “casting off” also means “to open.” Therefore, “casting off the transient and revealing the true” describes how the Daishonin “opened up” the superficial view of himself as an ordinary Buddhist priest and revealed his underlying true nature as that of a genuine Buddha.

Precisely because he was and remained an ordinary human, he thereby proved the principle that any ordinary person can become a Buddha of supreme enlightenment. This, in fact, was the entire purpose of his teaching.

It has been said that the decline of Buddhism in India began with the deification of the Buddha— the inability to see the Buddha as human. Similarly, to assert that Nichiren, in revealing his true identity, became something beyond human would destroy the humanity of his teachings.
The principle of casting off the transient and revealing the true, then, applies to all of us. Shakyamuni and Nichiren demonstrated that all people are entities of the Buddha of beginningless time—that all possess the eternal Buddha nature inherent in the universe.

Shakyamuni’s casting off the transient and revealing the true in the Lotus Sutra, and Nichiren’s doing so in the course of his efforts to spread the Mystic Law, therefore provide us with a source of infinite hope and confidence that we can become absolutely happy in this life, without changing who we are.
Also, “revealing the true” means to base oneself on the deepest self-awareness, to be profoundly aware of the truth that you are a Buddha and to “reveal” this truth through Buddhist practice in your everyday actions.

Though this may be easy to agree with in principle, we all can find ourselves lacking in confidence at times. It may be at work, in our studies or in our relationships. We may feel stuck in our efforts to study Buddhism or share it with others.

These are precisely the times when we can “cast off the transient and reveal the true” through the power of Buddhist practice. SGI President Ikeda says:
Whenever we find ourselves in a deadlock, we need to challenge ourselves to offer sincere prayer and summon forth great power of faith to resolve the situation. According to [second Soka Gakkai president Josei] Toda, this is what “casting off the transient and revealing the true” means for us. Faith means to struggle against deadlock. ( Lectures on the “Expedient Means” and “Life Span” Chapters of the Lotus Sutra, vol. 2, p. 60)

Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo to the Gohonzon gives us power to positively challenge everything we face each day and make steady progress. It is fuel for opening up our apprehensive, unconfident “transient” selves and revealing our strong, wise and undefeatable “true selves.” When we each decide that our mission and ultimate purpose in life is to strive for kosen-rufu—the realization of peace and happiness for all people—and engage in courageous Buddhist practice toward this end, we are casting off the shell of our lesser self. In its place, we reveal in the midst of our daily lives, just as we are, our greater “true self.”

Thank You

You Aint Gotta Lie to Kick it Craig!!

Ughhhhhhh, I am so sick and tired of hearing this story of these married men having secret lives and wives.  Before I get into this post let me tell you that I am not at all a male basher or a man hater.  I love the men of the world especially those who carry themselves as "real men.."  I would like to know though from my male counterparts what defines a "man" or a "real man"?  Take away the social perceptions and restraints, take away race and status.  Then please tell me.

Scandals and infidelity are just things that occur in the lives of many due to our animalistic  behavior and uncontrollable desires to conquer as many of our sexual cravings necessary, not thinking of who we may damage in our quest.

Situation Analysis No.1
There is a woman so happy to be married to the man who treats her as a queen and is a great father to their children.  Not even a year into their marriage he seduces another young lady and begins a relationship (fling) with her.  I am certain that he had no intentions of leaving his wife and kids for this thing to do.  Two years later the wife finds out about his actions and confronts him, he lies.  He swears on the kids, he swears on his deceased grandfather that he has not violated their union by having an ongoing affair with another woman. They say if you lie, cheat, and steal; chances are you'd kill too, kill the ones you claim to love most with your lies and deceit.  This mistress knows where he lives and has stepped inside of their home..

Situation Analysis No 2.
Woman falls head over hills with a gentlemen who makes her feel so wonderful and like she is the only girl in the world.  The girl walks away from family and friends to begin a lifetime full of pleasure, love, and happiness with the man.  Has a child with him and considers things that she had never before, he fueled her fire, lifted her higher - her best friend  Six years later she discovers from someone that he is a married man; she investigates through the city which they reside and finds his marriage certificate. She has a two month old son with the guy.  He is separated from his wife, which should have given him more comfort in telling the truth 6 years ago.  I'm sure that he too loves the girlfriend very much, but guys tell me also, is this true love?

I know that to the heterosexual male us women are your weakness, our sensuality and our sensitivity are irresistible.  We are so delicate, and so easy to love how could you not.  What if you had a daughter?  You may even have a daughter or two..

All drama and humiliation could be saved by just being honest, hell you may even get lucky and keep the girl - both women even.  Women can respect a man so much more for being honest, than breaking her heart and her spirit with lies,  not giving half the truth, but the whole truth.  A group of men once told me that, "lying saves lives".... That was very offensive to me, your whole life is a lie in that case, because one leads to another and another and another.  And that makes you the hero huh, all the women, all of the men just adore and respect you and hold you high in your kingdom.  It feels wonderful huh!  I should kick you off your high horse and hand you my gun!  KILL YOSELF you DISRESPECTFUL !@#^$R&%*^&)*))($&!!

It's ALL about RESPECT, with respect comes true love, honesty, and a greater value towards life and living.  It doesn't matter if it's man or woman.  These men will probably kill their wives, girlfriends, or mistresses, (girl you better be faithful to your married man, *sarcasm*) if they found out they lied to them or were unfaithful.  It shocks me how men will label women as whores and sluts if they to throw themselves around as such.  We Are All Equal with different anatomy, and muscle structures, we are alike.  I guess because, "you're a man" it makes it alright to abuse and penetrate as many women who let you.  I'm so sick of that one.  We're all human and we all have sexual fantasies and desires, but can we control our actions.  Why get married? Pressure? Family? Tradition? Society?

Don't cheat those who trust and believe in you.  I understand that as a man, you have a great sexual appetite and that's okay.  That doesn't mean, "fuck em' all" and some.  Let's save some of these STD numbers, let's save or children, and our marriages.  Women are so on point when it comes to caring, supporting, and nurturing our men, whether it is family or friend, its our innate nature.  We can change the direction of the traditional family lifestyle by being respectful, having moral, and decency.  Women have fallen off and so have our men.  Stop allowing this please! Expect your man to be the best man and you be the best you for that lifetime of matrimony you promised one another.  I'm tired of seeing our women crying and sad over what her "man" or this  guy did or said.  I will always stand for my women first, but don't be stupid too long.  I WOULD NOT accept that my man is sticking his penis in another woman, I WOULD NOT accept "oh she just gave me head", I WOULD NOT accept it no matter how much I love you.  Especially if you continue to do it over and over and over again.  I'll never need anyone that much.  But some women feel like as long as he's bringing home the money and taking care of her financially so she can look like she just wonderful, I'm good.  ......... PLEASE!!! (rolls eyes)

I see that now days women and men are okay with their partners or spouses to have a side piece as long as they don't forget where home is.  I may be too old to understand this one. - too much for me honey.

Women we are guilty of cheating scandals too, but for the most part a WOMAN is going to be up front with you before and/or after the cheating.

Once we stop allowing these things that hurt our women, our children, our culture - we can walk on the road towards recovery.

Guy friends if you made it this far tell me what defines a good man?
Okay gotta run, I have attached "Women Lie-Men Lie" for your listening pleasures

Men Becoming Allies with Women

http://michaelurbina.com/101-everyday-ways-for-men-to-be-allies-to-women/

This is absolutely true! Man friends pay attention, and women too... just class and respect... how about this Weiner dude??? So disrespectful... he is a political figure and so is his wife. Yes she stands by his side, but she has him by the balls and trust me she has plans...He's trying to justify all of this as if to say, "my wife is here by my side through this all...and that's all that matters..." and he keeps doing the same stupid ish and getting caught! Okay keep it at home and out of media if you can help it Weiners'. I can't say, "he's a man" to make it all right. I just can't, I'm tired of this being the answer. ‪#‎humiliating‬ ‪#‎embarassing‬ ‪#‎rude‬ ‪#‎disrespectful‬ ‪#‎happymarriages‬ ‪#‎politics‬ ‪#‎Weinerhead‬ okay, maybe I should have tagged all of that

Free My Mind

Just some thoughts of my own .... "something on ya mind - let it off"

Maybe a nuclear attack would "wake up" our America and entire world.  The human race has been robbed and programmed to believe anything we are given. The value of life and love are diminished by the images that media allows the public to indulge itself in.  Parents do not raise their children anymore or they have no interest in making a brighter future.  We Are Lost & UnFound... #pulltheplug #reprogram

I don't like going to the club much, I'd rather party and parlay with those close to me that I know or have some sort of relationship with.  Now when I begin traveling the world I will make an exception..

This Shit Ain't Easy... I just make it look that way.  I wish you had an idea of the emotional, mental, and physical strain I deal with on a daily basis.  I wish you knew what it was like to grind the soles of your shoes off, seriously,  I wish you knew what it was to heal your own broken heart.  Do you know what it's like to pick yourself up from the ground, hug yourself, wipe your own tears away, then go to the mirror to encourage yourself that you're going to be okay?  ...pat yourself on the back, massage yourself (no, not the genitalia, but if that does if for ya..) back into a normal state? I clean my eyes and wipe my own hands clean.  It'd be such a great pleasure and blessing to be able to just let go for once  ....................

I guess I'll just stop and sit my ass down somewhere at 36 and focus on a family...  I love life and I am grateful for what is has offered me.  I may not have everything I want right now, but it is sufficient for me and I am happy with that.  It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.  Judge me if you will.  I am Blessed with just Being - Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

There is so much more bouncing around inside of this little head, but I can't pull it out right now, and it may not even be for you to know.. :)

LS Lane featured in The Hype Magazine

Taking her hustle mentality coupled with real life adversities and pain, LS uses her pen as her magic wand and the mic as her sword. Lois “LS” Lane is a reflection of her on stage transformation which occurs in a matter of seconds. Her Superman simply forms in the image of a handheld microphone where the dynamic virtue can not be ignored. With an undeniable sex appeal and beauty, this gifted lyricist, SINGER, songwriter, producer, model, & host is more than just a pretty face.
By the age of 13, LS (originally presented as Lady Shaun) was performing in high school talent shows working the crowd and spitting rhymes. With her love of music and the arts, LS continued to hone her skills and craft by writing, performing in showcases throughout her native Louisville, Kentucky community and joining a local band. As time passed and her focused shifted, LS was determined to take her career to the next level. With her no nonsense attitude, motivation and desire to be the next platinum selling artist, LS relocated to Atlanta WITH A DREAM.
Never one to stay constant, LS emerged with a new swag and persona (LS: The Last Standin'). In a city like Atlanta, there is no shortage of talent so LS had to make her mark and she has done so by being versatile. On the musical side, LS tours the Southeastern Regional markets doing shows and expanding her ever-growing fan base. In addition, she has opened for such noted artists as Teyana Taylor and Chrisette Michelle, MYA, EightBall & MJG, 112, Field Mob, Da Brat, Ying Yang Twins, Crystal Waters, and Trina to name a few. LS continues to challenge herself as an artist and performer as a front vocalist with Hip Hop/R&B cover band Culture Sol, and background vocalist for corporate cover band, Atlanta Rhythm & Groove. She has added performances on the Carnival Cruise lines on her resume as well as performances at the Atlanta and Nashville Gay Pride Festivals for the last five (6) years.

 Tell me about LS Lane?

LS Lane is an American entertainer, songwriter, singer, lyricist, and television host born and raised in Louisville, KY.  She discovered her love for the stage and performance at age 4 after she was entered into a local beauty pageant and won the title.  She has been constant and accomplished in her achieving her dreams in arts and entertainment.  LS moved to Atlanta, GA in 2000 to pursue her goals even further and it has been quite a ride.  I am the oldest of six sisters and I have a great responsibility in being a little big sister and showing my sisters how to persevere and how not to let other people belittle them or make them feel less than what they know they are worth.  I discovered my gift of songwriting and performing live at the age of 12 and I have been going every since. I am in the groove and loving it all.  I obviously love it for me to still be here pushing as hard as I know how.  I have toured, I have promoted, I have fought, cried, bled, and given so much towards what I believe in, and that is a dream of ultimate success.  Since discovering my love of performance and art I have accomplished much and learned so much more at the same time and I hold it close to me and protect it with my heart.  My most recent achievement is winning Atlanta's Search for the Coldest MC competition (hosted by #CoorsLight, Ice Cube, and DJ Drama) where I was challenged by a guy from NY.  From the regional win I was flown off to NYC for the finals to compete against 8 other guys from other US cities, and I was humbled and proud to be titled as the runner-up in the entire competition!! I hate competitions and battles because that is not what I feel my purpose is, but taking chances is what I am in to, and look at the outcome.  This was just motivation for me to go ahead and take my movement to the next level.  I've been to NYC twice since to perform in the club scenes there.  I am excited about tomorrow..

Who are your musical influences and why?

I have been influenced over time by a few acts and figures:  Outkast, TLC (Left-Eye), Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Josephine Baker, Micheal Jackson & Prince, Busta Rhymes, John Lennon, President Obama,   All of these influences have set outside the box and looked inward/upward.  They were able to see the bigger picture and they set out to capture the world with their views, their inspirational music.  They understand the people and what they want, and they have given much of themselves through what they love.  It's not always about YOU and I can see through what these artist have created that they not only love themselves, but they LOVE.  These are the footsteps that I want to follow in~ DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!

What prompted you to venture into Hip-Hop?

Well, I could say that it was by accident, but that would be a false statement.  In my freshman year of high school I quickly gained popularity status through playing sports and being active in different events and clubs, and just being a clown, period. When it was time for the school talent show, of course I had to sign up just because there was a stage to showcase on. What I was going to do, I had no idea!  Poetry seemed to be what everyone else was into, so why not play my hand.. Now during this time I had just started really listening to hip-hop and getting into the art of it,  Da Brat, TLC, and West Cost rap were my top picks.  Time came for me to write my poem and the first line went a little something like this: "I'm Boom-Boomin in my Jeep and I got the flava...". Hmmmm, poetry? I don't think so!  It was very rhythmic and dying to bust out of the simple poetic format that I had created.  "fuck it!  this is rap, and I'm doing it".  And that's all she wrote, talent show night came and that's the beginning of my musical history.  So many encouraged me to continue and my delivery was perfect, people want ed me in their groups and I ate it all up.  It has been all worth it.

If you could describe your style of music in one word, what would it be and why?

Transcending.  Because there is a musical gap and I don't like it.  I grew up listening to everything, as I said before I didn't really get into listening to real hip-hop until high school, and I didn't like that I was missing out on it either.  There is a divide between the music substance and creativity.  My driving force is to bring together the ages and the cultures.  I love music, all of it, and I have the need to express that in what I write.  Every time I  perform, my goal is to bring everyone together - and I do.  My job is to entertain, but what is it if I only half-step with it.  To see the people, (all of them) come together with smiles and rhythm in their souls during my performances is what moves me.  That is a wonderful feeling and almost brings me to tears at the same time.  That's worth it!

What do you have as an artist that makes you stand out among the rest?

I am passionate, I deliver and charge like a roaring lion(ess). It goes beyond hip-hop, I am a seasoned entertainer who speaks of real life situations, not the streets or what this or that *igga did or that *igga said.  I don't wait for anyone who says what they can do, to do anything for me and my movement.  My motivation comes from deep within and I am not here to win anyone's approval to be accepted into their clicks or bands.  I am a one woman show for the most part and everything I have accomplished is because I went out and got it just because I wanted to see if I could really do this.  I have shocked and scared myself silly and it's become a habit that I can't quit.  I have been told no and let down because I would not compromise what I know to be my self worth or moral value, and I am okay with that.  It has made me stronger and pushed me to work harder.

What is your favorite part of performing?

LOL!  When I go out, unless I'm with my "click", I'm usually really laid back, checking out the scene and not really saying much, just ready to perform so I can get out of there to move on to the next task.  My favorite part of performing is when people misjudge you without knowing you or ever seeing you or your act before - the look on their faces.  I think most expect me to be your typical female rapper, and that I am not.  My show is action packed with great energy that I aim straight in the crowds face, my vocals and control is dynamic and I assume a lot of people in the underground arena aren't used to this. (and my good looks don't help much ;) lol)  The faces - I love the faces of my people, especially the boys.  They're usually front row within my view mouths open, head nodding, smirking.  My ladies are all smiles, hands in the air, listening to catch on to the next hook and rocking with me, or either listening and watching with their heads slightly cocked to the side and arms folded taking me all in.   At first, I didn't know how to take this and though it to be bad.  But I love what I do too much to believe that it's nothing good.  Even if it were a negative response, I'd make it into a positive.  I love it too much and I am certain that it "shows"

What can your fans expect on the album you are currently pushing?

I don't know if many are ready for what I am going to release 1st Quarter 2013!  I'll have to work my hardest once more to prepare them.  I know who will expect it though and I am taking it directly to them, (not in the streets though.)  "GET LIVE OR GET LOST" will stand strong to it's name.  I will break it down, show-n-tell style on what it is to GET LIVE OR GET LOST!!! This will be an album for everyone one young and older.  Were going to dance party, were going to sweat, were going to fight, make love, cry, scream, fly..  There is no limit to this journey were about to take.  Universal Linguistics

What do you think of today's musical trends?

Music has just evolved as most things and trends do.  As far as my hip-hop/rap culture, I do feel we could do a better in providing a better fulfilled music with substance for our upcoming generations.  Still feel free to express ourselves through hip-hop, but the world is watching, the youth are listening and emulating or adult lives.  Anybody can rhyme and out together a song, but where is the creativity, the thing that makes you last long in this industry.  Push to be GREAT, there is too much room to be so.  I do like how hip-hop/pop and dance culture are coming together to create these great dance songs and anthems, but at some point this will get old too because everyone is doing it. Set trends and margins for others to follow.  I wish we could go back to the times where MTV would play all musical content.  There is a difference in the generation that watched MTV, BET, VH1 during my time than there is now... The evil people of the world have forced a disconnect upon us and it is alive and seen very clearly amongst us all.  Music bridges gaps, it brings all people together, I'd like to see more of my musicians and artist us this tool before we really destroy ourselves completely.  There are no rules when it comes to musical creativity.

Any upcoming appearances?

I perform and travel weekly with my cover bands.  I also have my own band "IN BETWEEN" and we have our first debut performance this Saturday, October 27 at The Basement in Atlanta, Ga!  And another live performance at The Time 2 Shine event in November hosted by Mu Legend with guest performance by Ray Lavender. I am so eager to show everyone what I mean when I present my band.  Stay Tuned for more details on this new wave!

Any advice for upcoming artists?

Know that what you see of these big named artist who have excelled, is not something that they have achieved overnight.  Be willing to learn and know your craft throughout.  A lot of upcoming artist seek fame, money, cars, girls; it's bigger than what you see.  Be passionate and driven and don't let anyone sell you their dream.  Follow your own way, and if you believe it - you can achieve it by staying true.  There is no need to compromising your self worth, if it's in you and if it is for you - that is so.  Short cuts and easily become a @#$ Up and I'd hate to know that my striving artist will allow themselves to get lost in the wild.  It's very easy to get lost.. Stay Focused & Faithful, Stay Humble, Stay Active, and Stay True

My craziest moments are all captured during my gigs out of town or my college gigs with my cover bands.  I had never experienced streaking before until a gig at Princeton University about a year ago.  Now we're in this huge frat house, (if you know how Princeton's infrastructure is built you could probably imagine the scene.) 3 stories, ancient, and a bit scary.  There are a group of frat guys at the bottom of the stairs chugging and chanting their drunken chant after we just finished rocking the house.  Out of no where this mixed Asian girl comes through streaking and screaming with joy, and the crowd goes wild.  She runs up 1 level and runs through that floor, she re-appears to make her way up to the third level and back down to the ground level and disappeared.  I was shocked, happy, and free all over again.  Good for her.  I don't care what they say about Princeton, they know how to have a good time and welcome you warmly.  "I Love College"!!
